A lovely pair of lapis lazuli (said la-zyuh-li) studs from the late 1980s. Lapis is an intriguing rock comprised of Azurite (that's the blue), Calcite (whitish tiny flecks) and Pyrite (golden flecks).
The finest examples are a rich azure blue and feature the golden pyrite flecs, as seen in these earrings.
The stones have been bezel set and have closed backs. We have added new butterfly backs and they are ready to go in excellent condition.
