Commissioning a Bespoke Piece

The Process

So you’re commissioning a bespoke piece? How exciting! We can’t wait to work with you.

We believe that jewellery should be fun and commissioning a piece unique to you should also be exciting.

The best way to start the bespoke process is to email Sarah or reach out via Instagram with details of the piece you'd like to create and the gemstones you'd like to incorporate. It's always useful to have a sense of your budget so that we can guide gemstone choices and sizes accordingly.

Once we've chatted about the brief, Sarah will source gemstones for you, either from our supply or from trusted gemstone dealers. Details and videos of the stones will be shared with you, alongside the salvaged gold being used, and once you have selected your stone(s) the making process begins!

Before committing to the process, there's some nitty gritty to read through and ensure you are absolutely comfortable with.

Payment

We request a 50% deposit after stones have been selected and approved by you, with the balance payment is payable upon completion.

Lead times

Lead times for creating your piece vary depending on the time of year. We would expect a 4-6 week wait from payment of deposit until completion, which could be longer in November - December. If your piece is ready earlier, we will let you know, and if necessary you can defer the balance payment / shipment date until the expected (4 week) lead time has passed.

All of our pieces are made by skilled goldsmiths whom we know and trust. As the team is small, please remember that ill health, family issues etc can cause delays at the workshop. These are not common and will be communicated.

Duties & Fees

If you are ordering from abroad, there may be import duties and / or local sales tax to pay on arrival of your bespoke piece to its destination. These are the customer’s responsibility to research and pay, but if you’re concerned reach out and we may be able to help you predict them.

Returns & Refunds

Bespoke items, when fitting the specification outlined, are non-returnable and non-refundable. That is not to say that your journey with us ends when you receive your piece. If there are issues please be in touch and we will work with you to remedy them - regardless of where in the world you're located.

We are committed to full transparency, should you have any concerns or queries regarding the above, please get in touch!
