A combination of two excellent things: an antique 22ct band dating to 1908 and a deep pink - verging towards red - mahenge spinel. The undertones of this firey gem are a deep orange - a truly wonderful colour.
The gemstone has fine inclusions which really give the appearance of a glow to the stone, even in low light. Contrasted against the rich 22ct gold she is perfect.
The band has excellent presence at 5mm wide.
