Retro C1940 Blue Zircon Flower Ring
The 'Retro' period of jewellery began in the late 1930s and rolled into the 1940s; it was such a sharp shift from the Art Deco period and ended abruptly at the end of the '40s and the styles created were fresh, ground-breaking and really stand out.
This ring is a classic example; in two tone white and yellow gold, a blue zircon sits proud of a floral white gold surround studded with diamond chips, which is in turn seated in a yellow gold floral 'cup'. The shoulders of the ring have a beautiful darted detail.
The baby blue zircon and two tone gold work beautifully together and make a truly joyful piece.
Offered in very good condition, with minor wear to the zircon. There is evidence of a past resize to the shank, but the finish is smooth and undetectable.
