The Piece London

Rare Victorian Faith, Hope & Charity Fob

£220 £176 Sale Sold out

We love this unusually presented Faith, Hope and Charity fob, crafted in 9ct finely engraved gold, crowning a bloodstone heart.

Faith, Hope and Charity was a popular motif in the Victorian and Edwardian period and is expressed through a cross (faith), an anchor (hope) and heart (charity). The way these three symbols have been incorporated with one another in this piece is beautifully playful. You can read more on the fascinating history of this collectible motif here.

This piece came to us with a split in the stationary jump ring which has been repaired by an antique jeweller. There are dings to the delicate goldwork on top, as pictured, which we don't believe detract from the joy of this piece.

Materials: 9ct yellow gold (tested) and bloodstone

Weight: 2g

Dimensions: Height - 2cm. Width of jump ring: 3mm.
