The Piece London
Georgian Shaker Locket Pendant (converted from mourning brooch)
This is the makeover of the century. Originally found languishing at the bottom of a scrap pile, this locket had lost its original window and the woven hair that would have been originally housed inside had been lost.
Captivated by its otherwise immaculate condition, pearl border, gold work and beautifully smooth button-back, she has been re-imagined into a beautiful shaker locket.
Behind a custom cut glass panel is a cluster of loose tourmalines in a whole host of colours, light to dark green, blues, pinks.
The pin back has been replaced with a generous jump ring that can be worn through ribbon, a chain or from a dog clasp.
The stones have been chosen for their colour which sets off the rose gold of the locket beautifully.
Materials: 9ct rose gold, seed pearls and tourmaline
Dimensions: 23mm wide, 2cm tall (not including jump ring)
