Classic Diamond 5 Stone
A jewellery box staple and classic antique piece, this 18ct diamond ring has an antique head (the top part; settings, stones and shoulders) and a substantial shank which was replaced in 1970.
Five old cut diamonds of graduating size sit on a coronet style setting, typical of the late Victorian era, which allows the light to shine through and set them twinkling through their delightfully irregular old mine cut facets.
We love the beautiful engravings to the shoulders to complement the delicate elegance of the setting.
This ring has hallmarks for 1970 but the head is antique, circa 1900. There are some nibbles to the centre and one of the side stones, not visible without magnification.
