The Piece London

Art Deco Diamond, Sapphire & White Gold Watch

£950 Sold out

This hexagonal watch, crafted in 18ct white gold, and dating to 1928 is a stunning timepiece and an excellent example of the era it was made.

Showcasing the geometry of the Art Deco Era with angular lozenge & triangle shaped sapphires and a hexagonal watch face, the sides of the watch feature a floral leaf design, which became typical in later art deco pieces.

This piece comes in what we believe to be its original box - and with its original cordette strap. Whilst the current strap is suited to a petite wrist, it could easily be changed to one of the same or different style by your local jeweller.

Full hallmarks for 1928 are present to the interior of the watch case. Offered in excellent (almost) antique condition.

Materials: 18ct white gold, diamond and blue sapphire (please note, watches of this era typically used synthetic sapphires. We see no indications of synthetic sapphire in theses stones but due to their size it is almost impossible to be sure). Watch case is white gold, findings on the strap are base metal.

Weight: entire watch weighs 12.8g

Strap size: Current strap 5.5-6.5" long
