Antique Garnet Star Pendant

We have never seen a star pendant quite like this before: with decisive edges and expertly cut stones, giving a bold and high impact look.

Originally a brooch, this piece is modelled in 9ct yellow gold and we believe it to date to circa 1890. The central garnet is a high domed and juicy number, contrasting strongly with the wonderfully cut long, faceted pear shaped garnets on each of the rays.

We have added a generous stationary jump ring with an internal diameter of 5mm - meaning this piece can be worn on heavy or dainty chains alike.
