This beautifully made antique chain comprises of trace links and bars formed of 18ct gold.
Purchased from a French estate and showing exceptionally hard to read partly worn hallmarks - very likely French - we have had the piece electronically tested to confirm its purity.
The 44cm chain skims prettily along the collarbones and closes with an original spring ring. We date this piece to the very early 1900s.
there have been two repairs to the trace links - pictured - and while this piece shows wear commensurate with age it has plenty of life left!
