Antique Garnet & Opal Starburst Ring

Garnets and opals? A match made in heaven, right? Especially when the opals pack such a beautifully moody punch as the two sitting astride this wine-red old-cut garnet.

This starburst ring dates to 1903 and has deep, crisp hallmarks to the inside of the band. A really fun take on the classic style with stones in a beautiful condition, especially the well matched, firey opals.

This ring is offered in good antique condition, and we have replaced one of the opals which is well matched yet sits slightly taller than it’s counterpart (see final photograph). Unusually, the rear of the band is rosey in hue, while the shoulders and band are yellow. There is no evidence to suggest that this ring has been re-shanked, so we take it as an additional element of character to this lovely piece.
