Dreamy Sapphire & Diamond Antique Crescent Necklace
If you've been searching for an antique crescent to add to your collection, then this is your sign!
This stunning open crescent dating to C1910 is formed from 9ct gold and mounted to a later necklace from the 1960s (can be removed - see note at end of listing).
The stones themselves are natural, rose cut diamonds, alongside old cut synthetic sapphires, which were very common in this era. One of the blue sapphires (centre right in the photographs) has been replaced by a paste stone of the same hue.
The beautiful balance of this piece makes it an easy to wear, everyday necklace, which sits happily along the collarbones.
Should you wish, we can remove the necklace component and create a pendant from this piece which would cost an additional £20, to be invoiced after purchase.
Offered in very good antique condition, with nibbles to the stones commensurate with age, visible only under a loupe. The paste stone shows surface abrasion due to its softer nature.
