Zircon // Antique 15ct Locket

Hand engraved with the latin phrase "Expecta cuncta superne" (translating to expect all things from above) I wanted to celebrate this antique locket with a gemstone symbolising the sun & stars sitting above us and overseeing our fate.

Nothing could have been better suited than this bright and sparkling 5.74ct yellow zircon. Zircon is known to scatter light beautifully and the cut of this large stone ensures this one does not dissapoint.

The locket has hallmarks for 15ct gold dating it to 1915, and is warmly hued (not true rose but you will see a colour differentiation to the 14ct yellow gold bezel of the zircon). To the interior is the original inscription 'from T.D. Aug 17th 1917.'

We have used the original 15ct bail to finish the piece, it has an interior dimension of 3.5mm. If you would like us to replace with a 14ct bail of the same width but larger inner dimension let us know and we will do so.
