Timeless 18ct Black Enamel & Pearl Ring

£395 Sold out

Step aside for this timeless, tactile ring, which slips ever so smoothly over the finger where it will sit comfortably day in, day out.

Created as a mourning ring in the very early 1900s, this piece is an excellent example of the evolution of mourning rings. This piece shows a departure from the ornate, delicate detailing of the Georgian and early Victorian period to a more modern, hinting towards on the monochromatic style of the Art Deco period to come in the next couple of decades.

The ring is inscribed "K R 5th Sept 1902" alongside full hallmarks for 18ct gold.

The ring is offered in good condition, the black enamel in particular is beautifully presented with no dings to the main body or the elegant side detailing. One pearl is slightly duller than the other two, as seen in the photographs.
