Stunning Chunky Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring ~1.2ct

We call these ones 'grannies diamonds' because you're looking at a ring which has been made from antique stones, probably from a sentimental piece of jewellery that wasn't worn, and re-worked into something more modern.

This example has been re-worked particularly well, it's a heavy and smooth wear with a comfort fit shank and chunky diamonds across the band.

Let's talk about those stones, shall we? Star of the show is an approx half carat old mine cut with a lofty crown and open culet. To either side sit four, smaller, brilliant cut diamonds, which lead to the final flourish of two .25ct old cuts.

All of the stones have been rubover set into the ring, and the top and bottom of the central stone being exposed to give the 'full coverage' look of this perfect piece.

The ring itself was made in 2001 and is in excellent condition.
