Show-Stopping Victorian Ruby & Diamond Navette Ring

£2,250

Let's explore the story behind this antique ring.

Featuring the classic navette motif, this style has been a popular choice in jewellery for centuries, known for its dramatic appearance and generous finger coverage.

Made of 18ct yellow gold and dated back to 1895, it's adorned with chubby old mine cut diamonds totalling around 1.19 carats, along with a notable ruby.

Now, about the ruby...

This gem sports a deep red colour with hints of purple, in our opinion originating from Burma, renowned for its world-quality rubies. Although it shows signs of wear with surface abrasions, the approximately .8 carat ruby remains a stunning centrepiece.

All gems are securely in place, and while the ring does show minor wear on the shoulders, there are no structural concerns. It's a beautiful piece, ready to be worn and cherished.
