The Piece London
Ornate Green Paste 3 Stone Ring
This beautiful rose gold and green paste is packed with pretty details, and has all the look of an antique emerald ring with none of the price tag.
We date this piece to circa 1930, and as you can see the towering detailing is almost architectural in nature, but with a touch of romance added by the softer influences of the 1930s.
The stones are in closed back settings and we believe this ring to be semi-hollow, however as the metal is quite thick there is no damage to the head or shoulders of the ring. The paste side stones protrude more than the central square cut, meaning there is wear to the side stones whilst by contrast the centre stone is in excellent condition.
There is evidence of a resize to the rear of the shank as well as a crease in the gold behind the head (both photographed), not at all visible when worn, and factored into the price.
