The Piece London

Lively Antique Opal & Diamond Ring

£750 Sold out

This antique opal and diamond ring dating to 1905 is so very pretty, studded with five very well matched opals each showing excellent play of colour from blue to green and purple to orange.

Made from 18ct yellow gold, the hallmarks in this piece remain crisp. Five stone opal rings in this style were popular from the late Victorian period well into the 1960s, but the settings tend to get higher as we move to later examples. This earlier piece sits low to the fingers - a more practical profile for a softer stone like opal.

The opals themselves are flecked by eight small diamond chips, which give an enjoyable, subtle sparkle to the ring.

We have expertly matched and replaced one of the smallest opals, and secured all stones in their settings, and offer this ring in excellent condition.
