The Piece London

Heavy Antique Albert Chain

£1,400 Sold out

A glorious example of an antique albert chain, this piece is rare in that it features a continuous length of ungraduated curb chain, with no T Bar in the middle.

It does however feature its two well functioning dog clasps, and crisp, deep hallmarks to every link. One of these links holds the hallmarks for the Chester assay office and date mark for 1907.

The chain has been generously coated in high carat yellow gold, some time ago, and the gold underneath is solid 9ct rose gold. One link has had this plating intentionally rubbed away to show the 'true' gold colour underneath (pictured).

The condition of this chain is otherwise excellent, with little sign of wear to the links. One of the dog clasps is an antique addition, not original to the chain.
