The next time anyone gets snippy with me about cutting up antiques I will simply forward them this listing to inform them that chain rings have been around for as long as chain has, as evidenced by this C1900 piece.
Anyway!
The chain is stamped to every link to the inside of the chain, and each link has been soldered to the next to create a solid circle. It's a lovely thing to own and very tactile on the finger. The gold is a warm antique yellow hue, the piece is solid and 5mm wide.
