There are citrines and then there are maderia citrines - characterised by their rich orangey-brown hue, they really do look like they are being coloured by embers within the stone. Unreal!
This antique fringe necklace showcases 9 elongated cushion cuts of extremely fine examples, interspersed by trefoils of gold accentuated with tiny split pearls. I adore the subtle milgrain detail around each ribbony bezel.
A really lovely celebration of citrine in 9ct gold. Dates to 1900-1910, excellent condition.
