There's something mighty impressive about a long guard in its original, full, length.
This piece, dating to circa 1900, is a substantial 59" (or 150cm) and can be wrapped around the neck up to four times. The gold is yellow in tone.
The links are almost like a modern biker, but pleasingly rounded and smooth.
The dog clasp is in excellent condition and has a nice tight close. There is a little tag hallmark, and one repair to a link (photographed) which prevents it from laying fully flat.
