Vintage 'Virgo" Medal by Paul Vincze

Dating to 1962 and celebrating the Virgo in your life, this heavy 18ct medal was made by famous medallist Paul Vincze. 

Hungarian born, Paul Vincze (1907-1994) designed the coinage for many African countries, and sculpted commemorative medals for key historic events (Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, John F Kennedy's memorial).

Known for his classical style work, he created a series of zodiac pendants in 1962 - of which this is one - and they are quite collectible pieces.
