Victorian Fancy Link Chain - 17"

A stunning fancy chain with a versatile and desirable connector fastener which can be removed and used across your collection.

The ornate links have sweet flowers running along the sides (you could call these stars if you were so inclined, I won't tell) and are connected by faceted belcher links.

The end link has a tag for '9c' which helps us date to the late 1800s. The connector is perfectly round and i'm conflicted as to whether it's original to the piece or a later, vintage, addition. It is however a perfect tone match to the chain which is a warm antique tone. At some point, likely when it was created, this piece had a high carat flash which would have made it yellow, this has worn off in all areas apart from along the flower stamped sides.

Some of the links are slightly indented in towards the centre (see photos), overall this piece is in very good antique condition.
