Dreamy Edwardian Moonstone Necklace

Every time I see a good moonstone 'dreamy' is the word I can't get out of my head and i'm not sorry. The soft sweep of blue across the stone (aduleresence is the gemmological term for it!) is so enchanting and romantic, so dreamy it is.

The stone really leans in to this festoon style of necklace, popular in the early 1900s which is when this piece dates to. Each stone has been framed in a delicate ribbon of gold and this piece looks so elegant when worn.

The clasp fastens with a bolt ring and the piece is in very good antique condition. I suspect the moonstone above the largest stone at the bottom could be a replacement as the underside is slightly flatter than the other stones, but all looks perfectly in keeping from the front.
