This chain would have been stunning in its own right but we wanted to make it into a hero, high impact piece. So we added this beautiful and zesty, lime green, chrome tourmaline.
Chrome tourmaline is an exciting one with newly discovered deposits in the Kenya / Tanzania region which have this zesty hue to them. It is coloured by chromium and vanadium (the same elements that give emeralds their green hue). I think this is such a wonderful and open colour!
The chain itself dates to circa 1900 and is a true yellow gold. The chunky links give a great visual presence and the chain secures closed with a bolt ring.
