Antique Chased Mourning > Shaker Locket

Originally a mourning piece which would have contained a lock of hair, this ornate and beautiful piece dates to the late Georgian / Early Victorian period.

It is deeply chased and the back is every bit as beautiful as the front. It is modelled in solid 9ct yellow gold and the front compartment (glass and original) can be prised open using a needle. We have added a 9ct jump ring and filled with a colourful blend of fancy cut peridot, deep purple amethyst and a few red garnet rounds for extra pop.

A beautiful piece which can be worn in either direction thanks to the ornate back.
