Stunning Tanzanite & Spinel Ring

Mixing gemstones is a tricky business to pull off well: each stone has unique lustre, saturation and optical characteristics that can be jarring if not done well. And matching a pair of fancy cut stones? A great way to put a jewellery designer to despair.

Which is one part of what makes this ring just so special: the tanzanite and spinel are just perfect together despite having very different optical properties. The shapes are really well matched and the attention to detail in the design itself is spellbinding.

The quality of the stones is excellent with barely any eye visible inclusions, allowing their saturated colours to be the star of the show.

The ring is mostly set in 18ct yellow gold, with the exception of the tanzanite which is in platinum. The two stones have been channel set with extreme precision to make a wonderful, unique, piece.
