Antique 18ct Articulated Fish

Articulated fish are always a much loved find, and this one is extra special in that it's a much older example than most, it's highly detailed and intricate, and it's in 18ct gold.

Each scale is detailed and shimmers as the fish moves - which it does freely - and the little tail also moves back and forth. The piece is 2.75" / 72mm long.

Offered in very good antique condition, this piece is not hallmarked but the construction, attention to detail and design of the piece (look at that face!) all point to an older dating to the early 20th Century.

Material: 18ct yellow gold, eyes are ruby, likely synthetic but too small for accurate testing
