Timeless 18ct Diamond & Teal Sapphire Ring

Another junk pile save and glow-up from us, because the shape, comfort and beauty of this vintage ring meant it had to be renewed.

We found it studded with four diamonds, but central stone had been removed. The placement of those four diamonds (do you see the tiny ones almost beneath the sapphire?) combined with the totally solid construction spoke to the high quality of the craftsmanship and design.

The rich colour of the 18ct gold contrasts beautifully with the stone that immediately came to mind on seeing this piece; a dreamy, ocean-teal, sapphire.

The original claws have been replaced with a crescent - or half bezel - setting, holding the stone aloft and protecting it, simultaneously.

Note: there is one very small chip to the sapphire, visible in some photos but not with the naked eye.
