The Piece London

Immaculate Antique 15ct Fetter Bracelet

£1,800 Sold out

Here's one for the 15ct connoisseurs: an all original chunky fetter link chain dating to the 1800s.

The links are in very good condition and each features a "15 .625" stamp for 15ct gold. The tone is yellow with some warmth, I think it looks a shade rosier in the photos than in real life, which is just that unmissable depth that 15ct is revered for.

The bracelet fastens closed with a dog clasp (which is functioning wonderfully well) and a t-bar suspends from the end.

The chain, t-bar and dog clasp all bear the same makers mark "E&D". There is no date mark, but we can pin this maker down to 1860s Birmingham and date this piece to the later half of the Victorian period.
