The Piece London

Bold Etruscan Revival Pendant

£300

We love Etruscan Revival jewels - dating to the mid-Victorial period C1880 - inspired by the unearthing of artefacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum in the 1700s, which jewellers only successfully learned to fully emulate a century later.

This piece, formerly a brooch, features many traits of this revivial period: the granulation (small gold balls) and the piece which would have been a gold sheet, stamped into shape.

Modelled in 9ct gold and flashed at the time of creation to give a rich, yellow, look, we have removed brooch pins and converted to a pendant with a generous 6mm gold jump ring.

Offered in excellent (converted) condition.

Material: 9ct yellow gold
