A punchy antique royal purple paste, in 9ct gold setting with milgrain detail, sits in the centre of this rounded curb chain.
The paste, at some point, was most likely the crowning glory of an Edwardian period lavalier. It has a '9ct' stamp to the top. The chain could well be original to the piece - the bolt clasp and link style were common in the early 1900s, or it could be a later addition.
The chain has a lovely 2mm width and this is a great everyday necklace, with a touch of antique flair.
